M E T A S T R E A M INTERACTIVE INTERFACE FOR REALTIME HYBRID STREAMING PERFORMANCE http://ozone.re-lab.net/meta META-STREAM is hybrid streaming media project with interactive interface for realtime web-page editing and live RealAudio / RealVideo streaming. META-STREAM interface is created to be used in co-streaming sessions on-line as well as in live performances during the (streaming media) events where remote participants are invited to take part: - in real time web-page editing by using specially created www-interface - by joining the IRC chat - by sending their live audio and video streams for co-streaming events, which will be picked up by meta-stream administrators' team - to add/submit their audio or video stream for 'online performance' (also by using speically created web-interface) PRE(history) Meta Stream was developed by E-LAB and net.radio OZONE in collaboration with F5 (video), Clausthome (sound) and OP! (live web-page editing) and it was presented as real time on-line performance in various events in real physical spaces: during the Baltic Art exhibition opening in Milch Gallery/London, project AfterRadio/Bologna, and in net.congestion festival/Amsterdam. INTERACTIVE USERS INTERFACE Next step was made towards developing web-based interactive users interface, which allows for users to edit (update) meta stream web-pages, to change them, to submit their own web-pages (e.g. to contribute their web-pages or part of the web-pages for meta stream) and thus to participate in creating textual and visual content for the meta stream. META-STREAM web interface is developed and programmed by artist Oskars Poikans/E-LAB/Riga. Presently Meta-stream team is working on developing interactive web-interface also for changing, submitting, adding and mixing live audio and video streams (the sources for it will be used mostly from Xchange , net.congestion and other streaming media projects and communities).
